The Vader Project

The A-list of graffiti artists, pop surrealists, toy designers and other lowbrow artists took on the challenge of making art out of a 100% accurate replica of the Darth Vader helmet worn in Star Wars. The show took place at the end of May at the LA Convention Center.

The exhibition is to travel to museums, galleries, and events worldwide at the end of which the helmets will then be offered publicly at auction. Details to be announced.

Alexander McQueen for MAC

Limited Edition run designed by Alexander MCQueen, inspired by his F/W 2007 collection. Packaging will be black with the MAC logo and Alexander McQueen's signature in gold across the top. Two all new products will debut, a new eyeliner, Kohl Power in three colors, black with green pearl, black with gold pearl and a rich black; and Paint Pots in royal blue, yellow green and seafoam blue. Other products in this collection will be a series of similar eyeshadows to the paint pots, a glowing bronze powder, gold and rose lipsticks and my favorite, two new lipglasses in pale pink pearl and white gold.

The Line will be on your local MAC counter on October 4.

I like the look of it, although it would have to be much de-dramatized for real life use. I wish I could be a futuristic Cleopatra everyday, but it's unlikely. Like the hat? I told you, hats are back!

beigebeigebeige collection

White lace, linen and cotton combined with caramel suede and reclaimed vintage muumuu fabrics were used with sailor details, grommets and leather straps. Most of the collection was designed for my etsy shop, so a lot of the items on the models are available as custom orders through beigebeigebeige.etsy.com, which means that there are none of those... *I love this dress, but they are sold out in my size* moments. And everyone deserves a little custom couture in their life, even if it's just a beach coverup.

Much thanks to Jake at genuinehi.com, my amazing & sweet models, the photographers; Ed aka brother7, Honolulund, Dryfck and Amber Mira; and I can't forget all the amazing MAC makeup wizards & hair artists from JPS Dressers who totally took the whole shebang to another level! I've got a few more upcoming events and exciting happenings in the works right now too!

MAC: Beautiful Inside & Out

From drag queens to A-list celebs and every fashionista inbetween, MAC cosmetics, Make-Up Art Cosmetics, is the brand of the moment. Launched in 1984 in Toronto, with the mantra, "All Races, All Sexes, All Ages", MAC has become the predominate makeup used by professionals in entertainment. Not only are their makeup products clean, potent, bright and long lasting but also charitable! Their Viva Glam collection is one of the world's most successful fundraisers of all time! Since the launch in 1994, with RuPaul as the spokewoman, Elton John, Dita von Teese, Debbie Harry, Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista, Chloe Sevigny, K.D. Lang, Lil Kim, Eve, Lisa Marie Presley, Boy George, Pam Anderson, Mary J Blige, Shirley Manson and Christina Aguilera have donated their time and faces to this worthy cause. So, I know that it's hard to tell the difference between the Lil' Kim ads and RuPaul's, but to be clear, RuPaul is the one in red.

Every year I buy a Viva Glam lipstick. It's only 14 bucks and it's a perfect red. For a dramatic red lipcolor, it is suprisingly flattering and easy to wear. And the blue undertones in the original Viva Glam shade make your smile brighter! I use it to go from day to night when I'm in a pinch and a red lip makes any outfit more glamourous! 100% of the sales of Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glosses are donated to HIV and AIDS programs and over $90 million dollars has been raised so far!! All from a single tube of the perfect red lipstick. This is fashion doing right in my book!

There are 6 different lipsticks and two lipglasses to choose from in the Viva Glam collection.

F.W. 2007 Cosa Nostra

Inspired by the spirit of the corpse, Jeffrey Sebelia's first post-Project Runway collection. Kind of late I know, I believe it was show at the end of March, but its new to me!
