MAC: Beautiful Inside & Out

From drag queens to A-list celebs and every fashionista inbetween, MAC cosmetics, Make-Up Art Cosmetics, is the brand of the moment. Launched in 1984 in Toronto, with the mantra, "All Races, All Sexes, All Ages", MAC has become the predominate makeup used by professionals in entertainment. Not only are their makeup products clean, potent, bright and long lasting but also charitable! Their Viva Glam collection is one of the world's most successful fundraisers of all time! Since the launch in 1994, with RuPaul as the spokewoman, Elton John, Dita von Teese, Debbie Harry, Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista, Chloe Sevigny, K.D. Lang, Lil Kim, Eve, Lisa Marie Presley, Boy George, Pam Anderson, Mary J Blige, Shirley Manson and Christina Aguilera have donated their time and faces to this worthy cause. So, I know that it's hard to tell the difference between the Lil' Kim ads and RuPaul's, but to be clear, RuPaul is the one in red.

Every year I buy a Viva Glam lipstick. It's only 14 bucks and it's a perfect red. For a dramatic red lipcolor, it is suprisingly flattering and easy to wear. And the blue undertones in the original Viva Glam shade make your smile brighter! I use it to go from day to night when I'm in a pinch and a red lip makes any outfit more glamourous! 100% of the sales of Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glosses are donated to HIV and AIDS programs and over $90 million dollars has been raised so far!! All from a single tube of the perfect red lipstick. This is fashion doing right in my book!

There are 6 different lipsticks and two lipglasses to choose from in the Viva Glam collection.

Pics wouldn't load for me but I had to comment anyway. Everything about MAC is fantastic but especially their dedication to raising money for AIDS. I love that they never just choose the latest hottest celebrity for their campaigns, but it has to be someone who fits what they are about. And its not always 20-somethings. They've had Liza and Deborah Harry and Catherine Deneuve. And men too.

I am obsessed it is true. But honestly their products are superior to others. They do use stronger pigments in their eyeshadows than anyone else, so they actually are brighter than anyone else's. Their products that complement each other aren't just their to make more money (well some are). Like eye paints - wear these under eyeshadows and your eyes won't have creases at the end of the day - and putting one color as a base will enhance the color you put on top.

And no animal testing.

I could wax lyrical all day.

I'll be back to let the photos load cos their photos are always divine!

Thanx Glaceyeux.
